Torjager
Hockey is once again holding individual shooting
training lessons at the Goalie Development Center
at the Goalie
Shop (Map).
The
players who are training in this program are finding
great success and improvement in accuracy, shooting
power, quick release and overall shooting confidenc
New! We have added Mondays to our regular Friday and Sunday sessions.
Sessions
last 45 minutes and two shooters can be trained
at the same time.
The
sessions will be instructed by Marty Yewchuk.
Players
who are have been trained by Marty Yewchuk include:

Team
Players will develop the following shots: wrist
shot, backhand, flipshot, slapshot, one-timers,
shooting in stride etc. Players will develop shooting
power, accuracy, quick release and will train
themselves to shoot for the holes.
Players
will be advised on what stick is best suited for
them and will be given a training program to accelerate
their development.
Bachelor
of Physical Education Degree from the University
of Alberta, Major in Sports Administration
with a minor in Coaching.
NCCP
Coaching Level 3
20
years of teaching experience with the University
of Alberta Hockey Camps, Black Elk Hockey
School, and his own To The Top Roller Hockey
Camp.
Hockey
experience includes 7 seasons of professional
hockey experience in Germany, ECHL, British
Superleague and Roller Hockey International.
Member of 4 Championship teams:
- 1997 Anaheim Bullfrogs, Murphy Cup (Roller Hockey
International, World Champions)
- 1997 Cardiff Devils, British Super League Champions
- 1996 Charlotte Checkers, Riley Cup Champions
- 1992 U of A Golden Bears, CIS Intra University Cup

Played Varsity Hockey at Cornell University 1998-2002. Graduated with Bachelor of Science, Major in Animal Science.
Power skating coach at University of Calgary Campus Recreation 2002-2006.
Coached many hockey camps in Yellowknife, Austin TX, Calgary, Winnipeg, and Edmonton.
Played for the Oval X-treme 2002-2004.
Graduated from the Masters of Education Program at the University of Calgary.
Coached Dino Women’s University Ice Hockey team 2005-2006.
